Solène began with something deeply personal: a mother and daughter talking about motherhood — the beautiful parts, but also the parts that are rarely spoken about.
My mother knew firsthand how much a woman gives during those first weeks of motherhood. The sleepless nights. The constant feeding. The soreness and sensitivity. The quiet moments of discomfort that so many mothers simply accept, because all of their attention is focused on their baby.
These emotional conversations became the beginning of Solène.
We created Solène because we believe that while a mother is caring for her baby, someone should be caring for her, too.
Postpartum is one of the most physically and emotionally significant chapters in a woman's life — and one of the least spoken about. So often, all the attention shifts to the baby, while mothers are left to heal quietly in the background, expected to simply cope.
We don't think that's right.
